3rd District Council Member Zanthia Oliver Encourages Members of the Public to attend an “Eminent Domain” Information Event on June 22 at the Wilmington PAL
On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, 3rd District Council Member Zanthia Oliver, in partnership with City Council President Ernest “Trippi” Congo, State Representatives, and Community Activists will hold an “Eminent Domain” information event to allow for community outreach on House Bill 458. If passed, House Bill 458 will authorize the City of Wilmington to acquire vacant or abandoned property through the exercise of eminent domain when an ordinance declares the acquisition part of a community development plan necessary to prevent the decline or decay of the property or its surrounding area. Council Member Zanthia Oliver is encouraging members of the public to attend the information meeting today, which is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Wilmington PAL Center, located at 3707 Market Street in Wilmington.
