Wilmington, DE – Council Member James Spadola is holding a press conference on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 12:00pm with Councilmember Maria Cabrera, Philadelphia Councilmember Helen Gym, and Steven Suh, the son of the victim to bring awareness to the recent attack on the owner of Solid Gold Jewelers who has owned the business for nearly 4 decades.

On September 15, 2022, the 68-year-old owner of Solid Gold Jewelers was brutally attacked during a mid-morning robbery, that led him to being hospitalized in the intensive care unit and ultimately moved into a rehabilitation hospital where he is re-learning how to walk and talk.
