Wilmington, DE – Wilmington City Council, Wilmington Mayor Mike Purzycki, and Real Estate and Housing Director Bob Weir announced details of the city’s second home repair lottery. Registration for the lottery opens today, Friday, March 1, and will remain open until March 15. A live lottery drawing will be broadcast on Tuesday, March 19, at 10:30 a.m. on the Comcast Network, WITN channel 22.
The lottery process ensures that all those who register have an equal chance of being selected. Residents who wish to enter the lottery are encouraged to contact the City’s Customer Service Center at 311 starting today. It is important for callers to provide them with their name, address, phone number and email address when making a call. All registrations must be received by 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 15. Residents can also participate in the lottery online through the 311 reporting process by clicking here.
Home repair projects for 85 available slots were filled by 82 homeowners during the December lottery. A total of 88 names will be selected to participate in this latest lottery, and RE&H staff will review their income and other eligibility requirements before confirming their participation.
