City currently seeking proposals to manage Leased Access/Public Access Channel 28
WILMINGTON– This week, the City of Wilmington began soliciting proposals from individuals and entities interested in operating and managing its Public Access and Leased Access (PALA) television station broadcasting on Comcast Channel 28.
Managing Wilmington’s leased access/public access television station presents interested parties with the opportunity to not only serve the community by providing valuable news, information and commentary but it also offers the potential to create a viable revenue producing enterprise.
Parties interested but unsure about pursuing the opportunity will have a chance to ask questions at a pre-bid meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 28 at 10 a.m.
As part of the RRP process, the City’s Cable, Video and Telecommunications Commission, which is made up of representatives from the Wilmington City Council and Mayor’s Administration, will review documentation submitted by applicants and question them during a series of public meetings scheduled for January 7 and January 11.
Both meetings are scheduled to take place at noon.
Responses to the City’s Request for Proposals (RFP) must be received by Friday, December 21, 2018 at 4:30 p.m.
For more information and details on the RFP process can be found on the Wilmington City Council’s web site at www.wilmingtoncitycouncil.com or by clicking here.
