As lifelong residents of the City of Wilmington, Dan and Rob have poured their passion and dedication into shaping the City’s restaurant culture, creating spaces that bring people together and providing exceptional dining.

Dan had always envisioned having his own restaurant in Wilmington. His first taste of the culinary business came at Wings to Go and the Logan House where he worked his first summer jobs. While studying business administration at the University of Delaware, Dan met the owners of Ashby Hospitality Group who own a handful of places in the area, including Deer Park Tavern, Cantwell’s Tavern, McGlynns Pub, and Stanley’s Tavern. During his time in college, he honed his culinary skills at McGlynns Pub before taking his talents across the world – attending Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in Sydney, Australia, one of the most prestigious cooking schools in the world.

Once home, Dan, now as Chef Sheridan, worked for the Hotel du Pont’s Green Room. He also helped open Bistro on the Brandywine and La Fia, before rejoining Ashby Hospitality Group to open Cantwell’s Tavern in Odessa, Delaware. While working at Cantwell, he became involved with the Wilmington Pickle Company and decided to pursue his entrepreneurial journey and lifelong dream, opening Locale BBQ Post in 2015.

For Rob, his path began at A.I. Dupont High School, before leading him to George Washington University in Washington, D.C to further his academic career. Upon graduating, he decided he would join the U.S. Navy Seals, serving two courageous tours in Iraq. Following his military service, Rob obtained his master’s degree at Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania and later accepted a position as Vice President of Development with the Buccini/Pollin Group (BPG).

With Chef Dan Sheridan’s restaurant industry experience and Rob’s business expertise, the two ventured into business together with the opening of Stitch House Brewery in 2018, along with a neighbor coffee, food, and cocktail spot, Faire Café, and the season cocktail bar, Blitzen, both in downtown Wilmington. Upon acquiring a new space on Delaware Avenue, Dan and Rob also decided to move Locale BBQ Post into a new location and rebranded it as “The Post,” creating an upscale and sophisticated dining spot for Wilmington residents. Whether at Stitch House Brewery or The Post, Dan and Rob have achieved much success and are committed to further elevating the local dining experience in the City they proudly call home.

At-Large Council Member James Spadola is pleased to recognize both Daniel Sheridan and Robert Snowberger for their many accomplishments and remains dedicated to supporting their vision as they serve the City of Wilmington.
