Synopsis: This Ordinance is being presented by the Administration for Council’s review and approval. This Ordinance authorizes the execution of Contract 22011PW Gasoline/Heating Oil/Diesel Fuel” between the City of Wilmington and James River Solutions for the period from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022, at an estimated price of Nine Hundred Ninety-Eight Thousand, Five Hundred Fifty-Eight Dollars and Fifty Cents ($998,558.50), with the possibility of two (2) extensions of one (1) year thereafter with the same terms and conditions, at the option of the City.

This Ordinance sets the property tax rate for Fiscal Year 2022 (July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022) based on the certification by the Board of Assessment of the assessed valuation of taxable real property in the City and the Mayor’s estimates of revenue measures necessary to balance the City budget as required by the City Charter.

Amend Chapter 45 of the City Code Regarding Sewer System Rates and Charges, Water Rates and Charges, and Stormwater Rates and Charges for Fiscal Year 2022

Synopsis:  This Ordinance is being presented by the Administration for Council’s review and approval. This Ordinance enacts water, sewer, and stormwater rates and charges for Fiscal Year 2022. The charges and rates for water and sewer services will increase by three percent (3.0%).  The stormwater charges and rates will increase by two percent (2.0%). This Ordinance does not amend the unit charges for sewer service contained in City Code Section 45-58.

This Resolution authorizes the Mayor, or his designee, to file the City’s Fiscal Year2022 Annual Action Plan Budget with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, which includes funding for the Community Development Block Grant Program, the HOME Investment Partnerships Program, the Emergency Solutions Grants Program, and the Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS Program.
