Wilmington City Council President to Host Press Conference
Announcing the Proposed Office of Educational Advocacy
WILMINGTON, DE – Wilmington City Council President Trippi Congo invites residents, educators, families, and community stakeholders to attend a press conference announcing the proposed Office of Educational Advocacy. This initiative aims to ensure that the voices of Wilmington’s children and families are heard and that their educational needs are consistently represented in policy discussions at the local and state levels.

The Office will position Council to take a proactive role in addressing the challenges faced by Wilmington’s youth by working closely with families, schools, and organizations. It will serve as a bridge between the community and education stakeholders, promoting a whole-child approach to education that considers the impact of housing, economic opportunity, and safe neighborhoods on student success.

“I believe every child in our City deserves access to quality education and support to thrive,” said Council President Congo. “Join us as we take this important step toward lasting educational equity for all Wilmingtonians.”
